Greetings Prospective Intern or Volunteer!
The Committee Against Domestic Abuse (CADA, Inc.) would like to thank you for your interest in becoming a intern or volunteer. You may have some knowledge of the organization and the volunteer and internship program; however, we would like to highlight some basic features about our organization and the internship process.
CADA, Inc. is a grassroots organization committed to serving people who have been affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Our commitment to serving these individuals is done through advocacy, crisis intervention, shelter, and social change. If you feel that you have the skills and the time to give to our organizational commitment, your involvement is welcome. CADA, Inc. is excited by your interest; our hope is to provide you with some education in ending domestic violence and to make this a valuable learning experience.
Under the Internships & Volunteers section of our website, you will find our applications and forms. Please fill out the appropriate application and submit it with any additional documentation that is asked for.
- The Intensive Internship Application is reserved for interns needing to complete a minimum of 150 hours. Along with that application, you will need to submit a resume, 3 references and at least 2 goals you hope to reach during your internship.
- The Student Volunteer Application is reserved for students that are required to complete a volunteer project.
Due to the nature and sensitivity of our services, volunteers will be unable to provide direct services to the clients at CADA, Inc.
After you have read through the above information and complete the forms, the Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you to let you know what is available to volunteers at that time and to possibly set up an interview. The interview process will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Two criminal background checks will be completed at this time.
You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer at CADA, Inc.
You will need to print off three copies of the request for reference form and have your references complete and return within five days to:
